Cienna - 2 Years, 8 Months... Kaylee - 3 Months!

A little bit more mellow this month as we started with the first couple of hot days this summer which warranted blowing up the kiddy pool and Cienna quickly adapted into a water slide landing.  We went to "school" to visit with Cienna's previous and future care provider and introduce her to Kaylee.  There was another fantastic pool party at Erik and Kristen's place which we all enjoyed (especially Kaylee who just kicked it by the keg).  George and Georgia also came by for a very welcomed surprise visit as you will see in the pictures that Cienna and Georgia have just a little bit of fun together.  Mommy got her first 6 hours away from the two girls to hang at a spa with friends to kick-off Jamaica's bachelorette party (which others in the group finished down in SD).  She was amazed that she still had energy at 10:00 that night.  Her women's soccer league also started up on Sunday's for the Fall season.

We continue our ongoing home improvement with painting of interior doors (turns out it's worth buying a paint sprayer when you have over a hand full of doors to paint)!!  We also are now proud owners of our very first dining room table which we weren't quite sure how to eat without sitting on the couch and raising our coffee table.  Also built some shelving in the under stair storage to make the best of the space.

Cienna as always is absorbing more information than we could imagine.  Knows how to spell she and her sisters names and is starting on her lower case letters.  We've played a lot of pretends and hide and seek.  Books take up a large part of the day as well as arts and running around dancing laughing!  She is excited to now be able to run up her little slide and can't go high or crazy twisty enough on the swing.  We're preparing for super big roller coasters which mommy and daddy love!

Kaylee had a doctors appointment on Sept. 3rd where she weighed in at 11lbs. and 23+ inches long.  A couple of dreaded shots were no fun for any of us but, she is perfectly healthy and continues to be a complete joy to raise!  Of course, like her sister, is also a spit-up queen all day long.  Daddy and Kaylee began there bottle feedings in preparation for daycare.  They both did fantastic from the first of many bottles!  She has also rolled over, first from front to back (more like following her head over), then from back to front (one time).  She has just began grabbing onto her toys and knowing that it is her hand which she just might have control of!

Enjoy the smiles!

Cienna - 2 Years, 7 Months... Kaylee - 2 Months!

There really is too much to mention this month but here goes...

We continue to fall madly in love with Kaylee as we all get to know each other better!
We've had more visits from friends and even got to start venturing away from the home a bit more.

Cienna was very excited to have Kai come visit for a little big kid time before his beautiful sister (Isla Mae) made her way perfectly into the world just a couple of weeks later.  We also got to go to the Santa Ana Zoo which was the perfect get away after being solely at home for so long (the new home we are enjoying to the fullest!)  We celebrated summer with a pool party at David and Jojo's.  We also traveled to two soccer tournaments earlier in the past month that Mommy played in.  One was local and the other in San Diego where of course we spent time with Uncle Joe and went to the Stone Brewing Co. since it was nearby!

The next weekend we had a very exciting visit from, the way cute Cousin June, Uncle RJ, Auntie Megan, and Rosco where we spent time enjoying each other.  We all went to the the Long Beach Aquarium which was Cienna's, Kaylee's, June's, and Megan's first time!  We also had some new local  friends of Uncle RJ's (and now all of us) come by to play.

Mommy and Kaylee also got to join in a good friend, Jamaica's, Bridal Shower which was only the begining of more celebrations.  Daddy went boating with Uncle B for his birthday (thinking of Uncle RJ who shares the day).  Then Uncle Sean and Auntie Jamie tied the knot in the same weekend as Great Grandma (GG) had her 90th B-day party all in Northern California!  We were all happy to spend time with family on a too quick, but very enjoyable trip!  With such great children it is nice to have such a busy trip go so smoothly!  We also had time to squeeze in a second short lived Father's day since we didn't have the time to get the shirts completed with Kaylee's birth so close, but isn't it really Father's day every day!

Cienna is doing an amazing job with potty training as expected, and recognizes all the letters of the alphabet!  Her love for books, music, and art... and dancing, soccer, so many other activities and other kids and......has continued to grow.  Her vocabulary and memory still blows us away!  She has been picking out her own outfits which makes everyday a little more exciting and is still completely in love with her sister!  She makes having a second child a joy!

As every day goes by too fast they are both growing in so many ways.  Kaylee is smiling ALL the time and is becoming more aware of everything minute by minute.  She has found her hands and feet and was quite amazed with herself in the mirror!  You can see her thinking, and her smile lights up the room!  She loves bathtime and makes a mess by splashing everywhere.  Her favorite toy to kick is the butterfly on her playmat!

The girls really enjoy bath time together in there own bathroom (Cienna in the tub and Kaylee in her tub in the sink).  We have passed final inpection on the house and now have only some finishing work to complete ourselves but are very comfortable living in our new spaces and enjoying every minute of our very sucessfull remodel!

Please enjoy the pictures.. we do!

Cienna - 2 1/2 Years... Kaylee - 1 Month!

Kaylee's first days in the motor home were a little cramped but wonderful nevertheless. Soon after the floors were finished and we were ready to move back into our house. We spent a couple of days all living upstairs until the floors were cured and just so happens that on our Anniversary we had finally had our bed set up to sleep in our own room. Grammy and Grandpa also came to visit and stay in our guest room!

Grammy and Grandpa were so much fun and such a big help with the kids and the "to do" list which has no end but it's ok since there is no time limit for now. Nana and Poppa also got to come and visit. They finally got there Motor Home back in tip top condition! Thanks again for letting us borrow it! We got even more done from the list and the girls had so much fun with all of their grandparents! Cienna can't stop talking about all of them! We are lucky to have such a great family.

We are all very greatful that Daddy got to spend some time at home. We got to spend time with the whole family working on the house... and lots of playing of course too! Mommy even got to start playing soccer again, after tripping over her own feet and falling into a forward roll in the first minutes she actually ended up with a hat-trick her first game.

Visits from friends were very welcomed this month as well. We got to see the Bakx's a couple of times, as well as Jill and Sara, George made a couple of visits and Georgia even brought Shannon and Grace over toward the end of the month for Cienna and Gracie's half birthday. Us Rydman girls also got to get dressed up for our first party together for Ashley's baby shower next door.

On the 19th Kaylee had her one month appt. weighing in at 9 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 3/4 inches long. She has grown so much already responding to voices and focusing really well. She is enjoying play time and is a champ at the important things like eating and sleeping!!

Cienna is in love with her room, especially her CD player and music which she will rock out to while dancing!

Cienna - 2 Years, 5 Months... Kaylee - Welcome!

We had a slightly exciting month!

To begin, a tremendous amount of work was done on our house.  It was our turn to put in the hours and keep the ball rolling on the remodel.  To start with we had a couple of tile jobs to complete, a whole interior of our house to paint, interior doors to install, and many of various other types of finish work to complete including a skirt board and data/phone/video hook-ups throughout the house.  Cienna is now an avid DIY'er with more experience than kids twice or even twenty times her age!  We even got carpet upstairs and began furnishing the girls rooms and bathroom.

As always we had more good times during play dates with friends and were happy to get our annual visit from the Dunbars and thank them for roughing it in the backyard during this remodel.

The night of the 14th we got so far as to set up the crib for the new arrival, which must have been what she was waiting for, since the next morning we got the most amazing reward possible for all the hard work!

Kaylee Delling Rydman was born on June 15th at 7:14am.  At 7lbs. 12 oz. and 19.5" she automatically  had all of our hearts.  The whole experience of her arrival was smooth and complication free!  We all got to take her home just one and a half days later.

Cienna has earned the best big sister award and has gained an automatic best friend.  Like always, Cienna has been amazing and is a hug and kissing machine!

With the girls rooms almost complete we should be moving furniture and us back into the rest of the house upon completion of the downstairs hardwood floors this coming weekend!

We also look forward to upcoming family visits in the weeks to come!

Cienna - 2 Years, 4 Months

Another month through the remodel and closer to our even more exciting new addition!

The house has been moving right along.  We've gotten through all the rough-in work and we should even have textured walls by next week.  We still have quite a bit of work ahead of us since we are committed to completing all the finish work ourselves!  It has been a little tiring but very exciting nevertheless.  If all continues to go smoothly we could be moving in, in about a month.

We got to celebrate Daddy's birthday this month.  He got to spend a great weekend with the boys camping at brewfest even Uncle Matt flew down for the occasion.

Cousin Ashley and Trevor came down soon after Daddy's birthday with Uncle Mike and Auntie Dana.  They enjoyed a family vacation Disney style.  They came over one afternoon so we could show them Cienna's new room and the rest of the house.  The next day we got to go visit them at the Disneyland hotel where we enjoyed swimming and sliding down the cool water slides before we headed off to dinner!

Although we have been busy with the house and preparing for little sister we still have also made time to hang out with friends and neighbors!

We are all looking forward to the arrival of our sweet baby.  We think she's content for now but it won't be too long.  Cienna can't stop talking about her and how much she is going to teach her.  We're pretty sure there are plenty of hugs and kisses in this little ones future!

Cienna is 2 Years, 3 Months!

This month has been jam packed with excitement.  We are so proud of Cienna every day, she has adapted to so many situations with ease, and continues to learn and grow.

We were very lucky to fit it time with lots of friends and family during a quick trip to SR.  We shared in celebrating baby Walker's soon arrival which  brought so many of us together, and are honored to be June's god parents with the witness of her baptism.  June is adorable, and we loved every minute that we got to spend with her... and her parents!  We really got the most out of the trip with help from all the family in making time to share with us!

Cienna and Daddy have begun the first round of swim lessons which have been so much fun for all of us!  She looks forward to swimming with Daddy every lesson and her favorite part is the hokey pokey (It's Daddy's too).

We all got to share a huge cupcake while sitting on the kitchen floor for Mommy's birthday, and had a really fun Easter with the Easter Bunny coming for Cienna and a BBQ at the Geithman's including a very successful easter egg hunt.

The garden has been primed and ready for some spring vegetable harvesting!

As for the remodel... things have been great.  Of course there has been a lot to do and unexpected things do come up, but we've been able to work them out as we go.  After starting the project living in the kitchen and laundry room, Nana and Poppa saved the day and drove all the way down to check out how things were going and left us the motor home to expand our living space and make things more comfortable!  You can see by the pictures that progress has definitely been made this from starting at the bottom to a fully framed home.  There is still much more to do, but we're enjoying the adventure.

Mommy and baby are doing great.  We're down to the home stretch, just over 6 weeks to go!

Cienna is 2 Years, 2 Months!

Finally getting the ball rolling!  All of us have worked hard this month trying to plan and organize our Remodel Project, but haven't forgotten to throw in a pary or two along the way.

After meeting with many sub-contrators and doing all the necessary research and budgeting we have began to choose our path forward.  We've moved out of most of our home consolidating to our kitchen/laundry/back bathroom and garage area as our living space and using storage containers for all the rest.  Cienna has been such a trooper so far with all the adjustments!  She amazes us every day!

Daddy continues to do fantastic at work and Mommy is keeping busy getting things ready for some time off come June.  We didn't have any green beer but did have Corned Beef dinner for St. Patty's day, then partied at a delicious Brazilian restaurant for Kim's Surprise birthday (Thanks Keith), and also helped celebrate Eric's birthday toward the end of this month as well.

Cienna's vocabulary keeps growing along with her personality, love for music; jumping; books; and bubbles, and curiosity.  She is so bright and beautiful we are lucky to have such a great daughter.

We've also included some pictures from Georgia's birthday party last month.
