We had a slightly exciting month!
To begin, a tremendous amount of work was done on our house. It was our turn to put in the hours and keep the ball rolling on the remodel. To start with we had a couple of tile jobs to complete, a whole interior of our house to paint, interior doors to install, and many of various other types of finish work to complete including a skirt board and data/phone/video hook-ups throughout the house. Cienna is now an avid DIY'er with more experience than kids twice or even twenty times her age! We even got carpet upstairs and began furnishing the girls rooms and bathroom.
As always we had more good times during play dates with friends and were happy to get our annual visit from the Dunbars and thank them for roughing it in the backyard during this remodel.
The night of the 14th we got so far as to set up the crib for the new arrival, which must have been what she was waiting for, since the next morning we got the most amazing reward possible for all the hard work!
Kaylee Delling Rydman was born on June 15th at 7:14am. At 7lbs. 12 oz. and 19.5" she automatically had all of our hearts. The whole experience of her arrival was smooth and complication free! We all got to take her home just one and a half days later.
Cienna has earned the best big sister award and has gained an automatic best friend. Like always, Cienna has been amazing and is a hug and kissing machine!
With the girls rooms almost complete we should be moving furniture and us back into the rest of the house upon completion of the downstairs hardwood floors this coming weekend!
We also look forward to upcoming family visits in the weeks to come!
