Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween and Cienna made a perfect "bat." We went trick or treating to some of the neighbors where she had no problem grabbing the candy.

The weekend prior, we headed out to a HUGE pumpkin patch with our friends Shannon, George and Georgia. The girls got there first experience with a train ride, petting zoo and fun house. We even wheeled them around in the pumpkin cart. Check out the photos below.

Cienna is 9 Months Old!

We had another amazing month. Cienna had her first plane ride. We went up north for Matt & Stacey's wedding and she did wonderfully the whole trip (minus the pink eye which kept mommy and/or daddy home the next week.) She got to hang out with Nana and Poppa and loved every minute of it. She also got to meet many new friends such as Tom & Peggy Payne and Eric & Casey Whalen.

Cienna began crawling and exploring any where she can with the main goal of pulling to a stand on anything that is the right height. She is also cruising along all furniture that is available to her. Recently she has discovered she can also sit back down from a standing position instead of "falling."

We plan on visiting a pumpkin patch this weekend for her first halloween event. She will be dressed up as a "baby bat" to take advantage of her beautiful timely fangs. Happy Halloween!

Cienna is 8 Months Old!

Wow...again...another productive month. Cienna is about 16 pounds and 26 inches long now. She is sitting up on her own (even can pull herself to a standing position) and crawling backwards...that's right...backwards. I guess she figures everyone crawls forward...why not start our individualism now. She has a total of 4 visual teeth, 2 bottom and her fangs, just in time for Halloween. More are cutting through, but she is getting by like a trooper.

We are continuing to try new foods, most recently, pears, and she doesn't seem to hate anything. Uncle RJ and Grandpa Rolland visited and we had some good times. Uncle RJ even fed Cienna and got food all over her hair. We also got to visit with "coach" Darcie again and meet one of her friends.

Cienna is 7 Months Old!

It has been another crazy month. Cienna cut another bottom tooth right next to her other one. She is able to sit on her own now until she gets too curious about what's off to either side and leans too far and loses her balance.

One of the biggest accomplishments for Cienna over the last month has been the introduction to solid foods. So far she has tried: squash, peas, carrots, sweet potato, bananas, rice, oatmeal, and barley cereal. She is such a great eater, shovels it in, with couple of looks like "...this is new...hmm...don't know...hmm...yeah...i'll eat it!"

Daycare is going great..in fact they dedicated a slideshow on their website just for Cienna. Click here to view.

Mommy and daddy have begun on their backyard...hopefully they will have grass by the time Cienna's walking....tune in and wait and see!

Cienna is 6 Months Old!

Cienna had a lot of "firsts" this month. First time swimming, first time trying solid food, first long road trip, first time at the beach, and first tooth.

She did incredible in the car ride up north for Jodi's wedding and visiting with family where she got to swim for the first time, go to the beach, and meet a lot of mommies friends. She also got to meet Auntie Carrie, Uncle Sean, Auntie Heather, and Cousin Erik.

At home, she enjoys here "Johnny Jump Up", reaches for things but just can't quite get there, rolling from one side of the room to the other (but we have to turn her around to get back) and is getting closer to sitting up on her own everyday.

She cut her first tooth but it hasn't seem to bother her....but mommy has felt it once or twice! Cienna just tried rice cereal for the first time a couple of days ago and can't get enough of it. She definitely won't go starving!

Daddy started a new job which he really enjoys. No more working at home, but the commute is only 2 miles. Mommy is still working 3 days a week and during nap times getting some extra hours in with her laptop.

Cienna is 5 Months Old!

It has been a very fun month. Cienna has learned a ton of new stuff: rolling over on her right side...finally; likes to dance or rather likes mommy and daddy to make her dance; chuckles when mommy or daddy dance in front of her or when she looks into the mirror.

Cienna is entering her 3rd week in daycare since mommy had to go back to work. It has been rough on both mom and dad but Cienna seems to be adjusting beautifully. We have a wonderful lady that takes care of her 3 days a week in her home and takes to Cienna like she's her own. She is very understanding of our "demands" and is helping us adjust to daycare life.

Cienna met some really cool people this month: Brian (co-worker of Cherie) and Erin, Greg (co-worker of Cherie), and Steve (who's expecting twins any day...)

Cienna was invited to her friend Rylee's birthday party. Rylee turned 4 and it was a princess party. Cienna had fun watching the chaos, that in no time, soon will be part of.

Last weekend was Cienna's first time away from home for the night! We went to uncle Joe's to help him tile his bathroom! We spent two whole nights there and Cienna did wonderfully! We hope it's a good sign for next weekend when we take our big trip to SR for Jodi and Chris's wedding, and to see all our family as much as possible!

Father's Day!

Today was a great day. It began with Cienna showing off the shirt that her and mommy made. Also, they made me my favorite breakfast: chicken fried steak, eggs, and hashbrowns with country gravy. It was awesome! We watched soccer, basketball and played around on the playmat. We ended the day with burgers....couldn't ask for a better first Father's day.

Cienna - 18 Years 7 Months Old! ... Kaylee - 16 Years 2 Months Old!

Had the cool crew over for world cup to start off the month. Big work week for mom but enjoyed having Oakley to play with us and Roaklee : )...
